My Current Beauty Faves!

I like to read reviews and ask the advice of the beauty store sales associates on skin care and make-up products because I’m always looking to try new things in the beauty world. I hope this list of my current beauty faves will help you find and love some new products!

In case you missed them, check out all my posts under Beauty for some great tricks and tips.

Here are my top 5 current favorites:

Top 5 Beauty Products

Coola SPF 30 Make-Up Setting Spray

Coola Classic SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray Green Tea / Aloe

I was looking for a setting spray to set my make-up and I didn’t want to look like I had just come from a workout. First, I want to recommend to women over 50 to use a setting spray and not a setting powder. Powders on mature skin tend to settle in those pesky fine lines and wrinkles. I was recomended to try Coola SPF 30 Make-Up Setting Spray and I love it!

This setting spray has a weightless feel and dries to a matte finish. It protects your skin on your face while keeping your make-up looking fresh all day. If you’re looking to switch to all natural/organic skin care like I am, this is your product.

Important facts and ingredients: *Aloe Vera *Algae Extract *SPF 30 Sunscreen

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA

I know there are mixed reviews with this next product, but it has become my favorite go-to mascara. All I need is one coat to get long, lush lashes. I can’t believe how long my lashes get with this mascara. Some people have said that this mascara flakes onto their under eye area when they apply it to their lower lashes, but I have not experienced this. I also apply very little to my lower lashes and I recommend this for mature women. I suggest using a lash primer as well, this helps adhere your mascara to your lashes and boosts the length too!

Important facts and ingredients: *Acacia Senegal Tree Extract *Peptides *Vegan friendly *Beeswax

Younique Mineral Touch Concealer

Younique Mineral Touch Skin Perfecting Concealer

I discovered this concealer after watching my friend’s FaceBook video tutorial on make-up application. When I saw how it brightened her face and it looked so natural, I had to try it and now I can’t be without it. It blends so well and doesn’t settle into those pesky fine lines and wrinkles under your eyes. It has a satin like finish that lasts all day.

Important facts and ingredients: *Shea Butter *Vegetable Lanolin *Cruelty Free

Bed Head Hair Smoothing Cream

AFTER PARTY™ Smoothing Cream

Have you noticed a change in the texture of your hair since you turned 50? What I have noticed is that my hair is now frizzy! It was never like this so I was stunned and needed help fast. I didn’t want a product that would weigh my hair down. I have fine hair and I can’t go around looking like a greasy mess.

I love Bed Head because it controls the frizz and leaves the hair looking healthy, silky and soft. You just need a dime size in your palm, rub your hands together and apply it to your dry hair. It controls the frizz without the weight!

Important facts and ingredients: *Dimethicone *Propylene Glycol * Castor Seed Oil

Purely Natural Shampoo

NATURAL SHAMPOO

I was shocked when I looked closely at the ingredients in my favorite shampoo, it had all these chemicals in it that I couldn’t even pronounce and when I looked them up, it wasn’t good.

I made the switch to this all natural shampoo by Purely. I love that it has gentle, natural cleansers that are infused with essential oils. It still removes impurities from the hair and scalp while also protecting your hair with proteins and natural vitamins that reinforce the hair strands. It doesn’t have those harmful ingredients that strip the moisture from your hair, us mature women can’t afford that!

Important facts and ingredients: *Witch Hazel Hydrosol *Tea Tree Hydrosol *Vegetable Glycerin

So that is my list of my current faves and if you have any questions on these products, please comment below and I’d be happy to help you out. I’d also love to know what are your current top faves in skin care and make-up.

Cheers!
