Hey there Sparklers! Are you looking for the perfect Christmas gift or maybe want to treat yourself? I’ve got the perfect idea and it just so happens that it has to do with a make-up collection review I just did. I tried out the Too Faced Limited Edition Beauty Daydreamer Make-Up Collection and if you’re wanting to try some new make-up, then take a look below for my honest review of this limited offer below.
I have to admit, Too Faced Cosmetics is one of my top favorite cosmetic companies. I love their eyeshadow palettes and their attention to detail in their packaging is top notch. Everything I have tried so far from their line, including my favorite (holy grail) mascara, Better Than Sex Mascara has not been a disappointment.
Well let’s get into the review of this fun collection. I was online looking for a fun, bright make-up collection that I could wear for the upcoming holidays and I came across this one and it’s exclusive to Ulta.
First, the box that this collection came in is too cute! I find that Too Faced really pays attention to detail all the way down to how they package their products. This is like a 3D design, as the star, the trees and the lettering are all raised.
What’s in the Collection?
This limited edition collection comes with 16 eye-shadows, 4 face products, a dreamy lips lip gloss in the color Bunny Kisses, a deluxe Better than Sex Mascara and an exclusive make-up bag to carry everything in.
Let’s Break It Down
The Eyeshadow & Face Palette
I love that there are matte and shimmer shades in this collection. For our age group (the 50’s), we can’t get away with wearing too much shimmer, but we still want to add some to our look. Us girls still want to have some fun!
Palette Eye Shades:
From left to right, I’ve listed the shade colors.
- Let it Snow (matte cream)
- Star on Top (sparkling champagne)
- Don’t You Wish! (gilded orchid)
- That’s the Spirit! (pink silk)
- Chill Pill (matte dusty rose)
- Sleigh Girl, Sleigh (shimmering pink)
- Sealed With a Wish (gilded brown)
- Well Lit (shimmering golden copper)
- You Wish (matte mauve taupe)
- Naughty Navidad (pink champagne)
- On the Rooftop (matte brown)
- Resting Grinch Face (teal maroon shift)
- Baby, It’s Cold (iridescent light blue)
- Twas The Night (metallic taupe)
- I <3 Presents (blackened plum)
- North Pole Dancer (gilded pink)
- Snowshizzle (gold pearl highlighter)
- Christmas Vacation (warm bronze highlighter)
- Flurry Flush (shimmering golden peach blush)
- Resting Wish Face (matte tea rose blush)
This palette has a good range of colors and types of shadows, mattes and shimmers. There’s something for everyone!
A Couple Extras
Lip Gloss & Mascara
The lip gloss included is a nice, neutral color that looks good on any skin tone and can be applied over any lipstick for extra shine. I can’t say enough about the mascara, but I will say it makes my lashes so long and thick, it’s amazing and the size in this collection is perfect for your travel bag.
I thought I would put a look together to show some of the beautiful eyeshadow and face shades. Don’t be intimidated by the bright colors and shimmers in this collection. When you apply them, they go on very easy and you can build the color up to make it as dark/bright as you want it.
The eyeshadow colors I used are:
- That’s the Spirit
- You Wish
- Sleigh Girl, Sleigh
- Star on Top
For my face, I used:
- Resting Wish Face for my blush
- Snowshizzle for a highlighter above my cheekbones
I liked the way the lip gloss applied to my lips, it was smooth and silky feeling. It’s not a cakey or lumpy feeling lip gloss. It’s a good natural look for a day at the office or when you just don’t want to wear a bold lip.
